It is never pleasant to wake up to find out you have no water pressure. First thanks to those that reached out to let us know there was a problem that needed to be addressed. Thanks also to all the residents for your patience while we were searching for and fixing the problem. And a special thanks to the residents on Lookout Circle who patiently endured without running water for over 24 hours while the storage tanks were re-filling.
Thank you Jim McDaniel for quickly jumping into action and continuing to work all day to find and resolve the problem. Thank you Tim Fornof for joining in to help. Thank you Justin Caroll for your help and willingness to be on standby for any necessary repairs. Thank you Josh Dirmeyer for helping troubleshoot getting the pumps for Lookout Circle up and running. It is wonderful to have resident volunteers willing to work so hard for our community!
We eventually found the water line break at the back of someone's private property who was not here, and we turned off their shut-off valve. Over 23,000 gallons of water ran into the arroyo. Let this be a reminder to us all of the importance of installing a shut-off valve on your side of the meter and of shutting off that valve whenever you are away from your property.
